Hong Kong Film Directors’ Masterclass: Summer 2026
Curious how filmmakers in Hong Kong get their first movies made? You’re invited to join Babel Film Workshop for an exciting masterclass with local film directors Lawrence Kan (“In Broad Daylight”) and Dickson Leung (“Good Game”)!
“In Broad Daylight” was nominated for 16 awards at the 42nd Hong Kong Film Awards.

Organized in partnership with the Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts and One Cool Films, this event will give young aspiring directors a chance to learn directly from filmmakers in the local film industry.
Participants will engage in a discussion with the two directors, moderated by Babel Film Workshop founder Jeremy Hung, followed by a screening of the film “Good Game.”
Admission to the masterclass is free of charge. Space is limited, with priority given to Babel Film Workshop students and entrants to the Possible Worlds short film competition. Register below to secure your spot!
