The biggest competition in the world for IB Film students.

Challenge your students to create some of their best work over 2 days focused on filmmaking. Exclusive to IB DP Film students, Babel 48 is an annual 48-hour film competition open to schools worldwide.

How it Works

Film teachers can register their students as participants or competitors in the next Babel 48. Teams then create films in their home city based on annual prompts announced at the start of the competition.

Each competing school can nominate 1-2 films to compete in the Babel 48 competition at the Babel Film Awards. All films completed can be used in students’ IB Film Portfolios.

Competitors are invited to optionally attend the Awards ceremony in Hong Kong.
