Babel Film Club

Start a film crew in your school!

Want to build a community to make films with? Filmmaking is more fun with collaborators who get your passion, but it’s hard to find the right people.

Babel Film Club creates a space for teen filmmakers in your school to gather and work on film projects. Each month, your Club will participate in challenges that spark your creativity and motivate your classmates to get into the habit of making films. 

Together, you’ll:

  • Meet other students interested in film across all year groups

  • Learn and play with new filmmaking techniques 

  • Receive feedback on your work from our online Club network

  • Build your film portfolio together

  • Prepare for bigger film projects in the future

  • Connect with teen filmmakers across Asia and beyond

We’re launching this school year and are looking for Student Leaders to bring Babel Film Club to 12 pilot schools. Ready to assemble your crew?

Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Age 13-18

  • 1-2 Student Leaders per school (each student must submit a separate application)

  • Run weekly meetings with Club members to participate in monthly challenges

  • Commit 2-3 hours/week to running the Club

  • Communicate with other Student Leaders to plan activities
