Filmmakers and cinematographers use different types of shots to communicate a different amount of information about a subject, as well as to elicit different emotions in the viewer. You can also combine a specific shot size, angle, and movement into one single shot. Below are some of the most common types of shots you’ll find in cinema, created by our students.
