Casting: KGV Student Short Film ("I did it dad.")

Project Description: "I did it dad.” is a 7-minute KGV student short film that follows a filmmaker struggling with a traumatic past and a strained relationship with his father. After his father's death, the filmmaker embarks on a journey of self-discovery. In a surreal turn of events, he finds himself in a mysterious coastal cave where he confronts his inner demons. The cave becomes a symbol of healing and forgiveness as he discovers a black box filled with Jenga blocks and a letter from his late father. Overwhelmed with emotion, he experiences a mental breakdown and ultimately finds solace and closure in the revelations contained within the letter.

Cast Roles:

  • Main protagonist (16-18, M, Asian) - knows how to swim, masculine voice, you are needed for the whole film

  • Father (16-18, M, Asian) - masculine voice for voiceovers and body down shots

  • Barista at the coffee shop (16-18, F, any ethnicity)

  • Mailman (16-18, M, any ethnicity) - looks older and overworked

Crew: Directed by Isaac Low and shot by Jasmine Monroe
